Bruce Buchanan is a Stained Glass Artist from Cleveland, Ohio. He studied Graphic Design and Studio Art at Kent State University and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Art History from Cleveland State University. He exhibited paintings and small assembled sculptures sporadically until taking up stained glass in 2000. He has worked with many local glass studios and artists restoring old windows and creating new work. Bruce has been recognized by the Cleveland Restoration Society for his residential work in the Gordon Square neighborhood where he lives. More recently, he worked for Henninger's Religious Goods in Brook Park, Ohio. While there, Bruce oversaw window construction of St. Paul the Apostle Church in Westerville, Ohio. During this six year project he conserved 80 stained glass windows from shuttered Cleveland churches and created 80 more to match, including 40 fully painted saint windows. He continues to take on residential work and is working his way through the century homes of the Near West Side one window at a time.
